Hello Church Family & Friends,
We are praising The Lord for answered prayers. For the decline of COVID-19 and the easing of restrictions across our land. We are so thankful that June 28th we are preparing to meet together again, and for the first time worship together in our new church building!
In order to help us plan and prepare for June 28th and following Sundays we want to ask you for your help. There are so many factors to consider as to how we open wisely and safely. In order for us to do this well, it is vital we understand how many people are planning to physically attend worship services. This will determine the setup for our building, along with being able to assess the potential need for multiple services.
The following is a brief description of what Sundays will potentially look like in the coming weeks. We wish to provide you with this information so that you in turn can provide us with an answer as to whether you are planning to attend worship with us. We will be continuing to provide our livestream services for those who are not ready to attend.
(Please let us know even if Harvest Parry Sound is not your home but you are planning to visit with us this summer).
Sunday Setup:
Currently we are seeking to setup as follows:
- 30% capacity of our building allowance - Chairs will be set up appropriately distanced in the following areas:
- Worship Centre
- Lobby
- Harvest Kids Area (Overflow with live TV feed - Harvest Kids Ministry will NOT be running)
- Parents will be responsible for supervising and keeping their children with them throughout the service - Chairs will be clustered so families can sit together, or individuals by themselves.
Precautions:
We will be thoroughly cleaning our building before and after services Hand sanitizers will be on site We ask that people follow the same precautions advised for any public area Please refrain from hugs & handshakes etc. as we still need to practice social distancing Masks are not mandatory however have been advised We will not be serving any coffee or food at this time If you are anyone in your family is not feeling well we ask that you please stay home
Our Responsibility:
Our leadership will not be "policing" individuals on Sunday's as it pertains to the regulations we have all been advised to follow. We all have a combined responsibility in ensuring everyone remains safe and basic guidelines and protocols are followed. Let's work together to be gracious and considerate to everyone.
Lastly, we are seeking to open up with a spirit of grace. Please, let's be gracious to each other as we seek to reconvene. Our individual viewpoints, preferences and approaches to dealing with COVID-19 may all vary to some degree, but we are seeking to gather to worship our Lord and Savior in a spirit of unity. Let's allow His love for us to unite us in His grace, and choose not to let the effects of COVID-19 divide us!
We understand that everyone's personal situation is different. Whether or not you decide to attend in person as we begin live services will not be seen as a reflection of your faith or desire for The Lord. It is our hope that all of us can fellowship together and join in worshipping God, whether it is in our building or for a continued time joining online.
In response to this, we would greatly encourage you to please help us serve our church body by answering the following.
Please CLICK HERE to submit a short survey (one survey per family)
Please respond to us so we can effectively plan for how best we can accomodate everyone as we gather to worship.
We will communicate a further plan for June 28th once we are able to evaluate this information.
