Looking To Connect?
If you’re brand new to Harvest be sure to stop by the Connections Desk located in the foyer at all three of our locations. We have Welcome Team members who would love to connect with you, answer any questions that you might have and present you with a gift as our way of saying Thank you for joining us!
While you’re there, you can sign up for our next Harvest Essentials class, where you will learn more about our church and have an opportunity to meet with others who are new to Harvest.
You can also fill out a Connection Card that gives you the opportunity to tell us a little about yourself, how to reach you, and what areas of Harvest you are interested in learning more about. These are available online and in the worship centre on Sunday mornings.
Harvest Essentials will give you a solid understanding of what it means to be a Christ Follower. It is designed to help you learn what it means to Worship Christ, be in Community with fellow believers and how to be on Mission for Christ here at Harvest Church. Harvest Essentials will answer questions about our mission and doctrine while you consider serving alongside us.
Baptism • Membership
We believe that Christian baptism is a public declaration of and identification with Christ in His death, burial, and resurrection signified by immersion in water. (Acts 2:38; Romans 6:1-4; I Peter 3:18-22).
The New Testament clearly indicates that groups of people who were followers of the Lord Jesus Christ identified themselves with and committed themselves to a particular local body. In order to implement the principles of accountability and commitment to the local body of Christ, as defined in the New Testament and practiced in the early churches, Harvest Church recognizes the need for formal membership. Membership at Harvest Church is for all who are believers in the Lord Jesus Christ and have visibly demonstrated that commitment through believer’s baptism.
At Harvest Church our focus is on the quality of discipleship. We encourage those in our fellowship to “get connected” by plugging into one of our small groups. The purpose of these groups is to minister to and encourage one another in daily devotionals, effective prayer and mutual accountability.
“As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God’s varied grace: whoever speaks, as one who speaks oracles of God; whoever serves, as one who serves by the strength that God supplies – in order that in everything God may be glorified through Jesus Christ.” 1 Peter 4:10-11
